FEATURES
Family Is Nothing takes strong influence from the classic survival horror genre and gives it a fresh coat of paint. Here are some of it's unique features:
-
No HUD for maximum immersion.
-
An implied inventory that manages itself and eliminates the need for a menu system.
-
Environmental storytelling that rewards a careful eye.
-
A panic room that can be used at any time when anxiety is too high.
-
Avoidance of common, overused horror tropes.
-
A secondary campaign for a less tense experience that reveals more of the story.
PRODUCTION SCHEDULE
The majority of the game is present, however there are a lot of loose ends to tie up, miscellaneous assets needed, and a good deal of optimization left to implement. I am looking to wrap this game up for a release sometime in Q1 2023. I am also a solo developer, and I create the majority of my games' content from scratch.
